Crystal Ball stock of the week: 04-MAY-2011 – CYBR – Cyber Bay Corporation

May 4, 2011

Welcome to another edition of Crystal Ball stock of the week for 04-MAY-2011. I guess last weeks edition was a success. PNX soared to a high of P15.20 from P12  since I posted it, although it met with profit taking today.
This weeks stock of the week is CYBR. With the release of big daddy SMC from it’s trading halt. Will CYBR follow?? From the technical side, CYBR is poised to make profit$$$$ breaking P1.16 resistance today. MACD at .0064 while RSI is at 55.76, DMI looking gooood. Fairly good volume, closed at P1.13 today Just ready for take off.

Lets see what happens tomorrow. Again, caveat..

Stock news you need to know 28-APR-2010

April 28, 2011

Phoenix Petroleum was my first “Crystal Ball stock of the Day” two days ago. Today, it is now P13.60 from 12.76 last Tuesday. Gaining 6.25% from yesterdays close. PNX opened 11 more stations in mindanao the last 3 months. Apparently, I do not have PNX in me (sad face here).

This morning SEMIRARA MINING CORPORATION (SCC) declared cash dividends of P10 per share. I bought some at close. Lets see what happens. Next week, another edition of “Crystal Ball stock of the Day”. Stay tuned, lolz.. Here are the details of SCC cash div.

Crystal Ball stock of the Day: 26-APR-2011 – PHOENIX PETROLEUM PHILIPPINES or PNX

April 26, 2011

This a new segment in my blog called “Crystal Ball stock of the Day” where I get to play Nostradamus  and predict the future of a stock. We are currently in a Bull Market, so most likely, the stock that you’ll buy today will eventually go up tomorrow. The trick is to ride the fastest horse.

According to my crystal ball, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines or PNX as listed in the Philippine stock market is just ripe and is ready to ride the highway to profit$$$.  They recently announced their first quarter income which is in a record high at a staggering  122% revenue growth based from the first quarter of last year.  Phoenix Petroleum posted 122% growth in revenues to P6.1 billion from January to March from the P2.75 billion recorded in the same period last year. “The growth comes from the expansion of the retail network and increase in sales from retail and commercial accounts,” the company said.

On the technical said: MACD is on -0.313 and RSI is at 46.97. Although DMI is not that good, I would still say that this is a good buy at it’s current price of P12.76 which is it’s closing price today.

Since this is the first edition of “Crystal Ball stock of the Day”.

A BIG  CAVEAT to YOU.. peace..

22-MAR: A Bullish (BEL) Is Ringing

March 22, 2011

Chart via laidtrades.com

Haven’t blogging much because, a) Busy-busyhan, b) tamad, c) daming work, d) bagsak stocks/protfolio ko.

Today was different, 50% of my portfolio is in BEL which I purchased last 18-JAN of this year at an ave of P6.06. After it peaked at P6.490 during January, it was downhill from there. Since that time, I was buying it at it’s low to average down, I didn’t want to cut loss. My running average up to today is P5.50. Today, things seem to be bright for BEL again when it broke out of it’s bearish pattern and is headed to it’s bullish state. With volume to support today’s move and the MACD just turning positive, it is “likely” (sana po) that BEL will continue to move higher in the coming days. Note that the RSI is also above 50 but below 70, meaning that it has gained some upward momentum but is not yet overbought.

15-MAR: Pray for Japan

March 15, 2011

Just as the Philippine index is headin up. Japan comes up with an earthquake with mythic proportion. What does an earthquake have to do with the stock market? Well, the stock market always reacts to major global phenomenons. Japanese shares plunged Tuesday (today) on panic-selling over worries that radiation from a damaged nuclear reactor would further complicate and endanger the nation’s recovery from its worst-ever earthquake on record Friday. The Japanese nikkei dropped at a whopping 1000++ points, or 10.55%. It’s worst drop since 2008.

This morning, world market shared the same fate (but not that big of a dip).  PSEi broke it’s resistance at 3900 and ended -22.39.  Bought CYBR yesterday thinking that it was a bargain @ 1.06, ended today @ 1.04.

Naipit tuloy ako, shite!!

25-FEB: First take..

February 25, 2011

Today is day 1 of my attempt to swim in the waters of technical analysis in the stock market. Aaaaaand, it was a bit of a disappointment. I cut loss (!!!) on MER last week, because his charts are on the bearish side of the market. Today, MER gained 7.50% to close at P238. Is he headed back to P250? Or stay bearish?

Today I sold all my position on CYBR because his charts are headin no where in the near future. Good thing it was sort of a break even for me. My first stock to purchase with an idea on technical analysis is MA (MANILA MINING CORPORATION `A`). MA ended in red today (yikes). This means that I have my WHOLE lifetime to learn this science of technical analysis. They say that Rome was not built in a day. I do hope that all these bumps are bruises pays off.

Closed at .033, my average position here is .034

I really wish that all global crisis could end. We have a global crisis in the middle east where it could disrupt the supply side of Oil. Let’s hope for the best but, somehow, I don’t think this crisis will go away that easily. They are like ticking time bombs, which could blow anytime and could disrupt the financial markets from time to time. Of course, once this crisis ends, you can be sure that the stock market will come running back up.

26-JAN: Crisis breeds Opportunity

January 26, 2011

Yesterday (25-JAN), a bus was bombed in EDSA. Five passengers were killed and 13 others were injured when the bus exploded on the northbound lane of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), corner Buendia avenue, on Tuesday afternoon. I was kinda excited (bad..) on how this will affect the local stock market. Because in my 2 months in trading in the market, I haven’t experienced a national disaster yet(?). Good thing the bus explosion didn’t matter much as Ive noticed. PSEi closes @ 3931 dn 28pts.

News about Meralco, i do not know how this will affect the price of MER. Lopezes may sell remaining stake in Meralco LINK

I have a microscopic share in MER. Kinda funny how it is behaving, being tag as a blue chip stock. Adrenaline Rush! haha!
